Sweating

To kill bad feet smell I decided to apply some formaldehyde solution, but didn't use any cotton wads -- used hands to apply. So now one of my palms is dry as a Sahara desert -- it doesn't sweat at all -- and the other is normal as usual. That brings some weird feelings...

Funny stuff

The funniest shit about that P750 description at its official site is that of business feature Ur Time which allows this device to show four various cites' times simultaneously! That's just a fucking wonder, innit? And it looks as though the manufacturer is the hell of proud of that one of three business features! Agh, I'm just laughing my ass off.

P.S. The device's been put off till this Saturday... am longing to hold it in my nerdy hands. =)

BD

That is a fucking Catch-22... I want to buy that device I wrote about and I want to make a nice picnic at the riverside (on my birth day, which is on the 15th of April). Each wish excludes another. Gotta work that out. Are there any special coursing on time-managing and money-budgeting, huh?

James Brown

I've downloaded full discography of James Brown recently. He really rocks! Currently listening to «Zaire Soul» album. I wonder what style it is he's performing... as it's not clear funk, and neither is it clear blues/jazz...

Mobile

I've finally ordered that brand new Asus P750! It's to be in my hands in approximately ten day! Yihaa! I'm planning to purchase an 8gb flash-card and a Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset for it. =)

Locales

I hate it when I gotta use such kind of coding. =(

   1: String name = rs.getString("name");
   2: String nm  = new String("");
   3: for (int i = 0; i < name.length(); ++i){
   4:     char[] ch = {(char) (name.codePointAt(i) +
   5:             ((name.codePointAt(i) < 192 ) ? 0 : 848))};
   6:     nm = nm.concat(new String(ch));
   7: };

Spring

Huh, it's spring here already... and that damn torch upon the skies is pissing me off. It blinds and dazzles me -- I can't see anything for several minutes after coming back from outdoor.

Though I'm glad it's not snowing as it is in Moscow. :)

Pixeloo's works

Here are the pictures I wrote about a few posts ago. :)

The Graveyard

Belgian game developers have produced a weird game called The Graveyard. Here's what their site says:

The Graveyard is a very short computer game designed by Auriea Harvey and Michaƫl Samyn. You play an old lady who visits a graveyard. You walk around, sit on a bench and listen to a song. It's more like an explorable painting than an actual game. An experiment with realtime poetry, with storytelling without words.

Nicely done indeed... costs 5$, but the only difference from the trial version is that the lady may die in full version. :)

Oh... here you can check it out. ;)

Believe in god? they can fix it!

_why's guide

I love that guy's style! :) though I don't think I'm going to use Ruby in any way...

...But your computer will be well-cared for. And you, Smotchkkiss, will have nourished it with your knowledge. In the eons you will have spent with your machine, you will have become part-CPU. And it will have become part-flesh. Your arms will flow directly into its ports. Your eyes will accept the video directly from DVI-24 pin. Your lungs will sit just above the processor, cooling it...

Hitting a wall with your head

There's a plus in the subj: you feel better after you stop...

Support

Hehe... being partially obliged to be t3ch support sucks ass.

Vacuum

I've just vacuum cleaned my home computer... and you know what... --- it stopped crashing and lagging (there's Kerio proxy, Miranda, NOD32, Avast! and a lot of other stuff running on it all day round). Though there wasn't that much dust in there.

By the way, been watching series called Numb3rs lately, that's a great TV show. And at times they use really nice music, which I've never heard before. Thanks to the www.tv.com it's easy to find the name of artist and song easily just by the number of episode and season of the series.

Realistic pictures of Mario & Homer Simpson

http://pixeloo.blogspot.com/

Check that out! It's just awesome! Especially Homer... I'm looking forward for that guy making such a picture of Fry or professor from Futurama series.

Open Day

It's Open Day in my alma-mater today and I am to look after the new fancy infoboxes installed at the main hallway. I'll post some photos in case I have any.

The Bat!

I've been using The Bat software for a pretty long time as well. But no longer shall one use illegal software! :D A friend of mine suggested me to try Mozilla freeware email client Thunderbird. It has fewer checkboxes to check in Settings, but at least it can work with proxies! So, the point is Thunderbird is an excellent alternative for The Bat. On the other hand, as another friend of mine said, migrating from Windows to Linux (e.g. Ubuntu) has no problems with porting Thunderbird's DBs.

Windows Live Writer

I'm trying to install subj right at the moment, but that fucking installer won't download all the necessary files... wtf? It's been like third or fourth attempt already! Why couldn't they make an offline installer in the first place?

First entry

Hi, every1.

I've just created this blog to post different shit about different stuff. It's supposed to be in English (for I'm in fact Russian)... there won't be any censorship and I won't give a shit for grammar.

My primary blog is located at http://gene-green.livejournal.com  Feel free to look thru it if you speak Russian.
